How to add a guild mark in Ragnarok Online 2

  1. Make the mark. Upload an image or draw one above; transparent areas become the pink key.
  2. Download it. Click Download BMP to save mark.bmp (32×32, 256 colours).
  3. Put it in the Guild folder. Copy mark.bmp into RO2\Guild inside your game folder — create the Guild folder if it doesn't exist.
  4. Open the guild window. In game, press G and open the guild information tab.
  5. Register the mark. Use the Add / Change button to register mark.bmp.

Community guides disagree on some details: most describe a 256-colour BMP with pink as the transparent colour (the format this tool writes), while one mentions 24-bit files also loading. If your client refuses the file, tell us which format worked for you.

Guild mark not showing? Common fixes

  • The client can't find the file. It must be named exactly mark.bmp and sit in RO2\Guild. The folder isn't there by default — create it.
  • A pink box shows around the mark. Only exact #FF00FF is treated as see-through. Near-pink shades from other editors stay visible; this tool writes the exact key.
  • Colours look banded. The file holds 256 colours, so smooth gradients get stepped. Flat colours and clean outlines look best.
  • Nothing changes after registering. Relog or change maps so the guild data refreshes for you and your members.

About Ragnarok Online 2 guild marks

Ragnarok Online 2 carried the guild-mark idea over from the original RO but doubled the canvas to 32×32, which leaves room for real detail — a proper crest, a character silhouette or a small monogram. The client reads the mark from a plain mark.bmp file in the Guild folder of your installation, then you register it from the guild window.

Like classic Ragnarok, RO2 uses a colour key instead of an alpha channel: the pink #FF00FF pixels disappear in game. Keep that pink out of the artwork itself, or it will punch holes in your mark.
