1) Who we are

SimpleToolsHub provides free, browser‑based utilities (converters, generators, calculators, etc.). This Privacy Policy explains what we do—and don’t do—with information when you use our site.

2) Scope

This Policy applies to simpletoolshub.com and all pages/tools we host (the “Service”).

3) How our tools work (client‑side processing)

• On‑device: Most calculations and conversions happen locally in your browser. We do not receive your tool inputs or uploaded files.
• No accounts or uploads: You can use the tools without registering or sending us files.
• Temporary processing: Your data typically lives in page memory while the tab is open. Some tools may optionally use your browser’s local storage for settings you choose to save; you can clear this in your browser.

4) Information we don’t collect

• We do not collect or store your tool inputs (text, numbers, images, PDFs, signatures, etc.).
• We do not require name, email, password, or payment details to use the tools.
• We do not build user profiles based on your tool use.
• The tool area of every page is masked from Microsoft Clarity recordings, so text, numbers, images and results inside a tool are not captured.

5) Cookies, analytics, and third‑party services

We use the following providers. None of them receives your tool inputs or files. We don’t show ads.

• Google Analytics 4 (Google): pages viewed, referring site, approximate location (country/city, derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), device, browser and screen size, and site events such as file downloads (file name), tool button clicks (action name) and homepage search terms. It sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (up to 2 years). Used on every page. Google Privacy Policy · opt‑out add‑on.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement and page layout, used for heatmaps and session replays (recordings of how a visit looked). The tool area is masked, so nothing you type, upload or generate in a tool is recorded. It sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk (up to 1 year). Used on tool pages. Clarity privacy disclosure.
• Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs): cookieless, aggregate statistics (page URL, referrer, country, device and browser type). It sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Used on tool pages. Ahrefs Privacy Policy.
• Formblade (contact widget): the “Feedback” button on every page. Loading it is an ordinary web request (your IP address and browser reach Formblade); only if you open the form and submit it does Formblade receive what you write (your message and, if you give it, your email address) so we can read and answer it. • Cloudflare hosts the site and processes IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

We also use your browser’s local storage (not cookies) to remember your light/dark theme, your cookie choice (sth_consent) and some tool settings. This stays on your device.

5a) Cookie consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If your device is set to a European time zone, we show a small banner and ask before Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies. Until you choose, and if you decline, Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode without cookies (it only receives cookieless pings without identifiers) and Clarity is told you haven’t consented. Google also applies these “denied” defaults to every visitor it locates in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. Visitors elsewhere are not shown the banner and analytics run normally.

Changing your choice: use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page, or this button: Change cookie settings. Clearing this site’s data in your browser also resets it, and the banner will ask again.

6) Legal bases (for users in EEA/UK/Switzerland)

Because we don’t collect your tool inputs or operate user accounts, we act primarily as a site publisher. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies are used on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings”. Cookieless Ahrefs statistics and Cloudflare hosting rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. Feedback you send through Formblade is used to answer you. You may also have rights to access, delete or object to data held by these providers under their own privacy policies.

7) How to control your data locally

• Clear site data: Use your browser’s settings to clear cookies, local storage, and cached files for simpletoolshub.com.
• Cookie settings: Change your analytics choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer (see Cookie consent).
• Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt‑out add‑on.

8) Children’s privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region). If you believe a child provided personal information to a third‑party analytics provider through our site, please contact that provider and us so we can assist where possible.

9) Security

Because processing occurs on your device, protecting your device and browser (updates, extensions, malware protection) is important. We cannot control your environment; use caution with sensitive data.

10) International users

Third‑party providers may process data in countries other than yours. Review their policies for details.

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post the revised version here with a new “Effective date.” Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Policy.
