Free Lineage 1 pledge emblems — ready-made 16×12 downloads

Pick a design and it saves instantly as emblem.bmp: 16×12 pixels, 24-bit colour, with every empty pixel already black — the colour Lineage renders as see-through behind the name. Put it in your Lineage folder and set it with /emblem emblem.bmp. The designs are drawn for this wide, short canvas, so they keep their shape on capes and in the pledge list.

How to set a pledge emblem in Lineage 1

  1. Make the emblem. Upload an image or draw one above; empty areas become black.
  2. Download it. Click Download BMP to save emblem.bmp (16×12, 24-bit).
  3. Copy it to the game folder. Place the file in your Lineage root folder, e.g. C:\Program Files\Lineage.
  4. Preview it. Log in as your pledge's royal and type /checkbmp emblem.bmp to preview the emblem.
  5. Set it. Type /emblem emblem.bmp, then relog so the new emblem loads.

Only the royal (prince or princess) who leads the pledge can set its emblem. On L1.5 you can also use the handshake icon → Bloodpledge Options → Save Emblem and type the filename. Korean clients use /문장확인 파일명.bmp and /문장 파일명.bmp. Keep filenames to English letters and numbers.

Emblem not accepted? Common fixes

  • "File error" or nothing happens. The file must be a real 16×12, 24-bit BMP. A JPG renamed to .bmp, or a BMP saved at another size or bit depth, is refused — this tool always writes the correct format.
  • The command can't find the file. It must sit in the Lineage root folder, and the name you type must match exactly, including .bmp. Avoid spaces and non-English characters.
  • The old emblem still shows. Relog after setting it; other players see it once their client reloads your pledge.
  • Background shows as a box. Only pure black (#000000) reads as see-through. Near-black shades stay visible — use the editor's transparent areas, which export as exact black.

About Lineage 1 pledge emblems

In the original Lineage a pledge — often just "BP" for blood pledge — is founded and led by a royal, and its emblem (혈마크, the "blood mark") appears in front of every member's name. At 16×12 pixels it is the same footprint as a Lineage II clan crest, but the formats differ: Lineage 1 wants a 24-bit BMP, while Lineage II uses 256 colours. Files from the L2 maker won't work here, and vice versa.

Because black is treated as see-through, many pledges design on a black canvas so the emblem seems to float next to the name. Small, clean art looks best on capes and in the pledge list: one symbol, two or three colours, and a clear silhouette.
