Frequently Asked Questions

PNG, JPEG/JPG, WEBP, GIF (first frame), BMP, and SVG. AVIF intake appears if your browser supports it (auto-detected by the picker).

PNG, JPG (JPEG), and WEBP. PNG/WEBP keep transparency; JPG does not.

JPG/WEBP default to quality 92 (adjustable 1–100). PNG is lossless here and ignores the quality slider.

Order of precedence: SVG width/height (if present), else its viewBox, else your Default SVG raster size (the control auto-shows only if an SVG is selected). Choosing Custom size overrides all of the above for every file.

Animated inputs are exported as a single still image (the first frame).

Batch very large sets (for example, 100–300 at a time). Downscale huge originals via Custom size (for example, Full HD: 1920 px long edge). Pick formats wisely: WEBP/JPG for photos; PNG for graphics/transparency. Try quality 80–85 for faster, smaller photo exports. Close heavy tabs to free RAM if you see slowdowns. Use Cancel to stop mid-batch and retry smaller chunks.

A guideline of peak RAM per image from source/target pixels (RGBA ≈ 4 bytes per pixel) plus encoding overhead. If it shows hundreds of MB or multiple GB, reduce resolution or split your batch.

For big jobs, a smoothed ETA appears once you selected more than 10 files and after more than 10 have finished, so the estimate has enough samples.

Click Cancel. The tool stops after the current image, keeps completed items marked Done, and skips ZIP creation if canceled before zipping.

Exact duplicates are blocked using path/name, size, and last-modified time. Unsupported types are skipped.

Canvas re-encoding typically strips EXIF and ICC. EXIF orientation is applied visually when drawing; the export is saved in that orientation without EXIF.

HEIC/HEIF decoding is not native in most browsers and may be skipped. AVIF input is allowed if your browser supports it. Exports are PNG/JPG/WEBP.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Files never leave your device.

Web: WEBP or JPG, quality 80–90, long edge 1280–1920 px. Print: PNG for graphics; for photos use high-resolution JPG/WEBP sized for your intended inches × DPI (for example, 300 DPI).

Try smaller batches, reduce output size, lower quality for JPG/WEBP, close other tabs/apps, or use a desktop browser. For tricky SVGs, export a plain SVG without external fonts/images.
